Check out this simple recipe.

You will need:

  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa butter ( try local health shops or eBay, around $6- $7 AUD for 100g)
  • 4 or 5 chocolate chips (milk, white or dark, preferably fairtrade and organic)
  • Vitamin E oil (either 1 teaspoon or one capsule)

Melt all ingredients in a small saucepan and blend well with spoon.

Pop the mixture into cute jars (I used small jam jars that you get in hotels).

Refridgerate until solid.

Great for gifts.

Enjoy xxx.

Almond and Honey Exfoliant

I love DIY recipes, not only because they are cheap, but you also know the exact ingredients that you are putting on your skin.

After the recent post for almond related beauty recipes, I have one more up my sleeve…

ALMOND & HONEY EXFOLIANT

You will need:

  • 2 or three almonds
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Crush almonds (not too fine, enough to exfoliate), I like mine to be the texture of table salt.

Mix well with honey.

Massage gently onto skin. Leave on face for at least 5 minutes.

Rinse off with lukewarm water and in a circular motion.

Voila! Your skin will be as smooth as a baby’s butt.

The Goodness of Almond Oil

Melbourne’s winter is usually cruel, with icy wind, rain and hail. This year hasn’t been any different.

That’s why we need to take extra care for our skin in these harsh conditions.

Almond oil, which can easily be found in supermarkets and health food stores, is great to use for especially dry skin in winter.

Here are a couple of DIY recipe for you to try.

Beneficial for dry and flaky skin.
